Does Walker Smallwood have Cancer?

Yes: Smallwood is diagnosed with cancer.

It was discovered in 2018.

Smallwood suffers bone cancer in his left leg. To make it even worse, he had rare cancer. As a result, his leg could not bear stress during his games. 

As reported by Yahoo News, Walker has had six surgeries, six chemotherapy cycles, and 24 treatments. 

Walker batted a few times last week after he was out of the pitch for more than a couple of years. His mother could not hold her tears as she saw his son fighting against a deadly disease to endure his passion.

Walker Smallwood Parents

Walker’s parents include his mom, Pam Smallwood.

Pam took her to a specialist as he got sprains that turned pale when he was 15 years of age. She remembers the doctor’s words to be devastating as he said her child has rare cancer.

Walker’s mom tried to strengthen and motivate him, although she was falling apart on her own. His recent performance gave her something to cherish after years.
