Eva Marcille is a popular American actress, fashion model, entrepreneur, and television personality. She began her career by receiving the third cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Her middle name, Marcille, is a mixture of her grandmother’s names, Marjorie and Lucille. The daughter of an African American mother and her father is Puerto Rican.
Eva Marcille attended Raymond Avenue Elementary School, Marina Del Rey Middle School, and Washington Preparatory High School in 2002. She also attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. However, she left the school shortly after receiving the third season of America’s Next Top Model in 2004 at 19.
Her prizes received a CoverGirl cosmetics contract, a spread in Elle, and a modeling contract with Ford Models. In addition, her covers include Brides Noir, Women’s Health and Fitness (May 2005), IONA (November 2005), and Essence. Her other modeling credits include DKNY, Samsung, Jewel, Star Magazine, Elle, Elle Girl, Apple Bottoms, Lerner Catalog, Avon Campaign 4, and many more.
Her runway shows include Elle Girl presents Dare to Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America’s Next Top Model 2005, the 2007 L.A. Fashion Week’s Monarchy Collection Fall, and many more. But at the end of 2006, she left her managers, Benny Medina and Tyra Banks.
After leaving them for new management, she officially dropped “Pigford” from her name, now going by Eva Marcille. She has stated she did this in order to not use her modeling fame to act but to earn her acting roles. She is now signed to Los Angeles Models and has been starred on America’s Next Top Model: Exposed on the CW. Marcille has also been presented as one of CoverGirl’s Top Models in Action.
