The Big Flower Fight is a new reality series that streaming on Netflix from 18 May 2020. It is a new reality competition series that pits florists and sculptors against one another as they’re tasked with designing larger-than-life structures out of flowers and greenery.
Contestants of The Big Flower Fight:
There are 10 pairs of contestants in The Big Flower Fight who will be competing for the prize. Each week, one gets sent home if they fail to impress the judges. Here’ the list as follows:
1. Henck and Yan
Hailing from the Netherlands and Denmark, Yan is a fine artist-turned-florist, who has won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show, while Henck is a freelance florist.
2. Ralph and Jim
Father-song duo hails from Eastbourne, England. Ralph is a groundsman at a private school and has a City & Guilds qualification in horticulture at Level 3. Jim is a student of 3D Design and Craft in Brighton and has a part time job at a leisure centre.
3. Sarah and Jordan
Sarah owns her own wedding florist business, Intrigue Designs, starting as a wedding planner before switching exclusively to floristry. Jordan is an employer of Sarah’ business who hired her three years ago and now she is the right-hand woman of her. They both hails from Brooklyn, New York, United States.
4. Andi and Helen
Andi is from Somerset, England and has won silver medals at the BBC Gardeners World and Chelsea Flower Shows. Helen is also from the same place and has worked as a gardener and botanist, and has managed numerous nurseries. She is also working as a YouTuber for Candide Gardening.
5. Andrew and Ryan
Andrew is photographer from Lancashire, North West England where as Ryan is a Fashion and Culture curator who moved from Vancouver to London to work at the V&A Museum and the Tate Gallery.
6. Monet and Stephanie
Monet and Stephanie are hails from England and are the youngest contestants on the show. They both have their own floristry businesses and they have been friends for past four years.
7. Nick and Taylor
Nick and Taylor are hails from New York who met through photosharing app, Instagram.Taylor runs her own interior plant styling business, while promoting botanical interiors on social media. Nick was a college baseball player. He then taught himself to become a plant coach and apartment farmer.
8. Raymond and Chanelle
This couple hails from London. Chanelle is a fashion designer who owns her own label, INOIR and has styled a music video for Idris Elba whereas Raymond owns Sunflowers Florist in south east London.
9. Declan and Eoghan
Declan and Eoghan are hails from Dublin, Ireland who met at the University College Dublin eight years ago.
10. Rachel and Delilah
Rachel who is originally from Minnesota, USA, is an artist who loves to paint scenes of nature, and currently, she resides in Brooklyn, New York City. Delilah is her friend who has a degree in business and worked as a freelance floral designer before joining renowned Brooklyn florists, Rosehip Social.
What is the location of ‘The Big Flower Fight’ set?
The Big Flower Fight was filmed in Maidstone, a Town in Kent, England. Maidstone is historically important and lies 32 miles east-south-east of London. The River Medway runs through the centre of the town, linking it with Rochester and the Thames Estuary.
