Francois was sitting by a 4ft by 3 ft chimney before he fell backwards on the roof. He fell on the roof of the mansion block on Great Cumberland Place while having a cigarette.

The event took place in the early hours of August 3, 2015, on a Friday. His body was later found after firefighters and police officers spent five hours at the site of the accident.

His body was recovered from the lower basement of the block The video was taken by a neighbor who was a few doors away from the block. The video has now made its way into Reddit which has brought back the memory of the horrifying incident.

Who Was Francois Alexis?

Francois was 20 years old and was a student at the London College of Communication. 

He lived with his parents, his father Jean Claude Alexis, and his mother Marie-Claude Alexis in Streatham, London. Both of his parents are French.

When asked about the incident, his parents were too upset to talk and just said, “He was very well-loved.”

Besides his parents, no other member of the family has been identified until now. One of his close friends, Leo Levine, however, took to Facebook to share the link to his death. He wrote, “Sharing this makes me realize that you’re really gone and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do… Goodbye Fran, rest in peace my friend.”
