Doria Ragland was born Doria Loyce Ragland on September 2, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S. She was born to mother Jeanette Arnold who was a nurse and father Alvin Azell Ragland who dealt antiquities in small flea markets in and around Ohio.
The now 63-year-old has 3 half-siblings Joseph Jr., Saundra Johnson, and Joffrey Ragland.
Her parents divorced later on and her father remarried. This marriage also ended in divorce.
Ragland went to Fairfax High School and later she went to an undisclosed university and gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She also received a Master’s degree in the University of Southern California.
