Controversial anchor Ed Henry got fired from his job as one of the top anchors at Fox News following sexual misconduct allegations. He got fired on July 1st, 2020.
Henry was one of Fox’s top new reporters who co-hosted America’s Newsroom, Before this, he had done some award-winning news reporting over at CNN where he covered major events like the Bush presidency.
Ed Henry Accused Of Sexual Misconduct
A former employee of Fox News lodged an official complaint about Ed. The accuser who has remained nameless told the company about the sexual harassment via an employee.
As per a report by CNN, Fox’s president Jay Wallace and CEO Suzanne Scott, wrote an email to the company’s employees informing them about the termination.
In that email, they wrote that Henry had been suspended (not fired) from his position the same day the situation came to light. Similarly, they also informed the company that the complaint was made on June 25, 2020.
According to the official statement, a 3rd party law firm had been hired to investigate matters and Henry was terminated upon their findings.
Ed Henry Is Denying The Accusations
While millions of viewers watched the anchor for more than a decade, he became one of Fox’s top journalists. He had the trust of many viewers and has given an official statement on the matter.
His official statement read
“Ed Henry denies the allegations referenced in the Fox announcement and is confident that he will be vindicated after a full hearing in an appropriate forum,”
He gave the statement via his attorney on Twitter

Legal proceedings on the incident have not yet been started but Henry has said that once the proper legal hearings start, he will be ‘vindicated’.
This Is Not His First Controversy
Before this, Henry was accused of cheating on his wife, who has been married to him since 2010. The news first broke in 2016 when a hostess in Las Vegas came forward and gave an interview to a news outlet.
According to the accuser, the then-chief White House correspondent at Fox had been cheating on his wife since July 2015.
Following the news, the anchor was temporarily suspended from the channel in May 2016. The woman who accused him described his alleged affair with her in detail to the InTouch news publication.
Later, he re-joined the Fox News Team in late August 2016 but lost his post as White House correspondent, he would be the chief national correspondent after returning.
Henry’s Wife And Expensive Wedding
Ed got married to Shirley Hung in June 2010. She is a senior producer at CNN. They held the wedding in Las Vegas where they had a 22-layer White House replica cake.
Before this, they had gotten engaged in February 2010. He and Hung had been dating from 2004 according to some news outlets.
She and Henry have two kids, a daughter Mila Henry and son Patrick Herny.

Hung is the Chief Washington Editor at NPR. Her career began in February 2005 when she started working at CNN.
She covered Homeland Security there, later she worked as the coverage manager and senior producer.
Later, she joined NPR in September 2014 as their senior editor. Then, she worked as the Deputy Washington Editor. She left the post in May 2019.
