The popular science host Emily Calandrelli is happily married to husband Tommy Franklin and they also have a daughter named Rose.

Emily Calandrelli is an MIT educated engineer who is the host and co-executive producer of Netflix’s show “Emily’s Wonder Lab” which premiered today on 25th August 2020. She is also known for being the host of another scientific show on Fox called ‘Xploration Station’. She is also an author of thebook Ada Lace Series which introduces youth to Science.

Her new series, Emily’s Wonder Lab, is a show that provides an excellent opportunity for introducing children to the world of science through fun and educational science experiments. For her show, Emily has received Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host in a Children’s Program.

This Emmy nominated science host has ample knowledge of science and she is very good with children on the show. This makes us wonder about her own children and family. Is she married and have kids? Emily Calandrelli Family

Emily Dawn Calandrelli is a 33 years old American science communicator. She was born to parents Kimberly Calandrelli and Bradley Calandrelli in Morgan Town, West Virginia on 18th May 1987.

Her father Kim used to work as an administrative assistant at West Virginia University where Emily studied her Bachelor’s in  Science degree. She later attended MIT where she studied two masters program, one was aeronautical engineering and the other was in Technology and Policy.

Her father is retired now but he used to work at the Mountaineer football program in the athletics department of the University.

Emily was not the only child in the family, she also has a brother named Drew who is currently a high school teacher.

Is Emily Calandrelli Married? Who is her Husband?

Emily is married to her longtime boyfriend Tommy Franklin since 2017.

Much like Emily, her husband Tom is also a talented person who is a graduate of Aerospace engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Apart from that, he is also a graduate from other top universities like Standford University and Harvard University. He did his masters in Aerospace engineering from Stanford and finally MBA from Harvard. He used to work as a product manager for Google in San Francisco but his current profession is unclear.

Emily and Tommy met each other in 2008 during an internship at NASA, California. They started dating each other in 2011 and then they both were busy grinding their way through their education.

In September 2016, the couple got engaged and they got married a year later in 2017 at the Prado at Balboa Park in San Diego.

Does Emily have Kids?

Emily has a happy married life with Tom and this talented couple seems to have been made for each other. After supporting each other through the hard times and enjoying good times together, the couple has recently grown their family by welcoming a baby daughter.

Their first child was born in 2019 and her name is Rose Kimberley Frank. One of the facts that is worth noting is that while filming her new show “Emily’s Wonder Lab”, Emily was around eight months pregnant. 

I guess, her love for children that can be seen in the show is not just her personality but was because of her maternal instincts too.

With such talented parents who teach science to everyone in such a fun way, their daughter Rose is sure gonna be a brilliant person in the future.
