Well-known as a mass murderer, Jerry murdered people with the act of revenge, kidnapping, and rape. On December 4, 1997, he killed a couple who used to raise foster children. Along with them, he killed two of their children too.

After the murder of 4 people, he kidnapped three foster children from their home. Later, it was revealed that he had molested one of the girls on the way. Thankfully, the girl survived and Jerry was arrested on the same day.

Jerry Heidler’s execution date was updated between October 1 and October 8. He had been sentenced to death for murdering the four members of the Daniels family. 

The sentence has taken quite a long time now but it is believed that Jerry is still waiting for his execution to happen. Even after 24 years of the incident, it seems the innocent Daniels family has not got the justice.

Jerry Heidler’s family never took care of him properly. His mother’s poor supervision led him to a foster home where he was fostered by Sylvia Boatright. According to her, Jerry was afraid of dark and would be scared that a knife would come and cut him.

He had an open-heart surgery and had to spend in two foster homes after that. Well, he even had imaginary friends – two mice that he used to carry on his hand.

According to Oxygen, Jerry Heidler is currently waiting for his execution at Toombs County Jail, Georgia. Back on July 6, 1999, he had escaped the prison with nine other criminals. However, the police didn’t take long to put him back to custody.

It has also been known that Jerry used to live with the Daniels family earlier and was recognized as Scott Taylor. This true-life story was even introduced in the show called Homicide for the Holidays.
