Her husband is best known for his comedic roles in movies such as Old School, Wedding Crashers, The Break-Up, Fred Claus, Four Christmases and The Internship, and also had more dramatic roles in films like The Cell, Domestic Disturbance, Hacksaw Ridge and Dragged Across Concrete. Weber previously worked for Coco Homes Inc. and Goldnboy Investment and Consulting Ltd. Weber and Vaughn, who share two children together, prefer to keep their personal lives private even though they sometimes make rare appearances at Hollywood events together.

She Has Worked as a Realtor

Kyla Weber, who drew media attention due to her relationship with Vince Vaughn, spent most of her early life away from the inquisitive eyes of paparazzi. She was born on July 1, 1979, in Okotoks, a town in the Province of Alberta, Canada. She pursued a course in business after completing her school education and later began working as a realtor.

During the early 2000s, she was a sales associate for Goldnboy Investment and Consulting Ltd., owned by Ted Crawford, with whom she lived together and worked together as his “business partner”. She had also obtained a 50% interest in the company at a nominal price. In March 2006, she began working as a “dependent contractor” for Coco Homes Inc. through her holding company, Goldngirl Investment & Consulting Ltd. She sold Coco’s newly-built residential homes in Okotoks, Alberta to prospective buyers. However, her contract was prematurely terminated without notice in June 2008, for which she later sued the company and was awarded damages of $21,250 by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.

Vaughn Met Kyla Weber at a Friend’s Wedding

Weber and Vaughn met for the first time at a wedding through his movie producer friend. They were both drawn to each other immediately and he reportedly introduced her to his parents after dating her for only four months. While they maintained a low profile in their relationship, they were spotted vacationing together in Bora Bora in September 2008. In March 2009, her father Ken Weber revealed to the Montreal Gazette that the two were engaged. Even though his representatives did not confirm the report at the time, he later told Ellen DeGeneres in October that he had proposed to her on Valentine’s Day that year. They got married on January 2, 2010, in front of “several dozen friends and family” at a private ceremony at a historic house at Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, Illinois.

She Shares Two Children with Vaughn

Months after their marriage, in July 2010, Kyla Weber’s pregnancy with their first child was confirmed by a source close to the couple, who added that “they’re so excited to be first-time parents!” She gave birth to daughter Locklyn Kyla Vaughn on December 18, 2010 at a hospital in Vaughn’s hometown, Chicago. In April 2013, Vaughn revealed that they were expecting their second child, following which they were often spotted on family outings with their 2-year-old daughter. In August that year, a heavily pregnant Weber surprised everyone by attending Tony Bennett’s 87th birthday bash in Beverly Hills with her husband. They welcomed son Vernon Lindsay Vaughn on August 7, 2013. Vaughn told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that his daughter, who is obsessed with Disney’s Frozen, is “very sweet and nurturing” towards her little brother, who “can be overwhelmed sometimes with the love and affection that comes his way”.

Her Husband Previously Dated Jennifer Aniston

Prior to dating Kyla Weber, Vaughn was in a relationship with Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, whom he began dating in the summer of 2005 when both were working on their romantic comedy, The Break-Up. While they denied it initially, they were spotted getting cozy at various Chicago bars and restaurants later that year. However, the couple was soon overwhelmed by the media attention that their relationship had attracted. Despite their attempts at privacy, tabloids were speculating about their engagement and wedding, even falsely reporting that Oprah Winfrey was planning an $8 million wedding for them. In October 2006, Vaughn filed a lawsuit against three tabloid magazines which had reported that he was cheating on Aniston with a mystery blonde. Also that month, Aniston refuted rumors of their breakup while talking to Winfrey. Nevertheless, they decided to call it quits in November that year. Their representatives confirmed the news stating, “Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be good friends”.

Her Husband Was Convicted of Reckless Driving

On June 10, 2018, TMZ reported that Kyla Weber’s husband Vaughn was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and resisting arrest in Manhattan Beach, California. According to the police, he repeatedly refused to get out of his car and eventually failed a sobriety test and a blood alcohol test at a police checkpoint. The incident happened early in the morning and he was released from custody later that day after his wife bailed him out. In May next year, People confirmed that the actor’s attorney had entered a no contest plea to the misdemeanor count in Los Angeles Superior Court, following which he was convicted of a reduced charge of reckless driving. He was sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation and was ordered to complete a three-month alcohol program.
