Lost Speedways visits the old race tracks around the USA, the show tries to show the history of the long-forgotten speedways which were a staple of the bygone racing era.

This 2020 show is a documentary and a reality TV show at the same time he visits the almost haunted and isolated. Hosted by a former race car driver himself it is sure to allure car buffs and racing fans alike. 

Who Are The Hosts Of Lost Speedways?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr will be hosting the show, he is a former race driver and a NASCAR analyst. He was one of the most prominent stock race car drivers in his era and has more than 24 wins to his name in the Xfinity series.

Similarly, he has also finished 94 times in the top 10. He has multiple titles wins under his belt and has raced in over 631 races over the course of 19 years in the NASCAR Cup Series. 

He worked as an analyst for the NASCAR Cup and the Xfinity race. He raced in with both of them as well as commentating and analyzing them. 

The other host of the show will be Matthew Dillner. He is a young TV producer who started work in the Tv industry when he was just 15 years old. 

Dillner is just 28 years old in 2020 according to his official website and has already worked in some of the most well-known TV shows in the world. 

His experience includes work at NBC and FOX. In addition to broadcast, he is also a passionate racing buff whose work in NASCAR has been extensive. 

He has attended hundreds of races both as a member of the audience and as a member of the broadcast team. 

According to his website, he already has 13 years of experience at just 28 years old. 

He and Dale will be bringing first-hand experience from their races to the viewers if there are any duo more suited to bring the story of old racetracks to the small screen it is Matt and Dale. 

Not only them but even both of their dads were racing fanatics, both Dale and Matt’s fathers were racers themselves, so they also have a lot of first-hand knowledge of the history of racing.  

Release Date

Lost Speedways will premiere on Peacock TV on July 15, 2020. The episodes are estimated to have airtime of between 40-45 minutes. 

Premise Of The Racing Show

The show will take viewers to the old racing tracks which have been abandoned and isolated. The two hosts will travel to various long-forgotten race tracks around the USA. 

The duo will discuss the history and the essence of racing as a whole in their show. Likewise, one of the main focuses of their show will be to discuss why the tracks are abandoned and isolated. 

Racing used to be one of the most popular sports ion the world, and in the USA but its popularity has slowly declined over the years.

Due to the rising cost of maintaining a speedway and its standards, many investors have backed out of the racing game leaving entire tracks desolate. 

Recently, NASCAR has also been linked to racism due to the action of some of its fans. confederate flags were a staple in the racing arenas.

While the show is yet to come out car show critics have already given good reviews to the show. The show will be a must-watch for fans of racing history.
