Who is the Biloela Family? They are a refugee family seeking a Permanent Residency in Australia. 

The case of the Biloela Family is one of the most controversial topics in Australian history. The family has been seeking release from community detention for nearly 2 years now. Yet, their future remains uncertain for now. 

Who Are Biloela Family? Everything on Their Story 

Biloela family is a refugee in Australia.

The family consist of four people: Priya and Nades Murugappan and their daughters, Kopika and Tharnicaa. Since August 2019, all of them are being held in community detention.

Biloela Family story entails Priya and Nades arriving in Australia on a boat in 2012 and 2013.

The couple gave birth to Kopika and Tharnicaa in Australia. Furthermore, they worked in the regional town of Biloela up to 2018.

However, problems started emerging as their visa expired in March 2018. The Australian authorities detented them around 5 am one day.

According to Australian law, people who arrive by boat cannot settle in the country.

Family Update To Follow 

According to the recent Bioela Family update, they have been reunited in Perth. 

Nades and Kopika had been staying in Christmas Island detention. At the same time, Priya and Tharnicaa were placed in Perth. 

Apparently, Tharnica was diagnosed with a blood infection and flown to Perth for a medical emergency. The family was finally reunited after 9 days.

Furthermore, the Biloela Family lawyer has even claimed their clients had mental illness due to the detention. 

The final verdict for the Priya, Nades, Kopika, and Tharnicaa remains undecided. It is still a question if the Biloela family will get a permanent residency in Australia.
