Here is everything we know about this popular band No Joy including its band members and new album songs.

No Joy Band Origin

No Joy is a doomy shoegaze Canadian band formed by Jasamine White-Gluz and Laura Lloyd in November 2009. At that time Jasamine was living in Los Angeles, US while Laura was living in Montreal, Canada.

They wrote songs and collaborated as long-distance but later on Jasamine moved to Montreal so that they could play in shows together. They did a local gig with the band Bethany Cosentino and he posted on Twitter that No Joy is the best band ever and well, other people started noticing them. Their moody, interlocking guitars and ethereal vocals made them fit with all kinds of diverse bands such as Wavves, Besnard lakes, and Harvey Milk.

Soon, they were then signed by Mexican Summer label records and issued 7″ single “No Summer” b/w “No Joy”. Eventually, No Joy expanded to a four-piece band. But Laura Lloyd is no longer involved with the band and thus No Joy has just three members currently.

Who are the No Joy Band members?

No Joy started with just two members Jasamine White-Gluz and Laura Lloyd.

They later enlisted Garland hasting and Michael Farsky as their band members. However, Laura Lloyd has recently left the band. Now the band only has three members. These three members are lead vocalist/ guitarist Jasamine White-Gluz, drummer Garland Hastings, and bassist Michael Farsky.

There is little to no information regarding the personal life of each of these band members.

No Joy Motherhood Tour Dates

Unfortunately, there are no upcoming tour dates and concerts of the No Joy band scheduled yet. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it is a little hard to expect tour dates of many bands anytime in 2020 so we expect the tour dates would be scheduled not before April 2021.

The band has announced for the Q&A session regarding their album on Monday, August 10, so we may get to know about the dates through that session.
