Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli of the Republican political party has been accused of sexual assault by 5 women in the San Francisco Chronicle.
The newspaper reported that the assault took place in 5 different incidents over a period of 17 years from 2003 to 2019. Foppoli rose as a local politician and businessman during the same time period.

He is serving as the Mayor of Windsor since 2018.
His Accusations Statement
Dominic Foppoli released a statement claiming he is completely innocent of the conduct alleged in the San Francisco Chronicle on Saturday.
The mayor of the California wine country town of Windsor denied the women’s claims.
Foppoli believes the allegations are political and made up for making him step down.
Following the allegations, Windsor residents are protesting to immediately fire Foppoli.

He is maintaining his innocence and refusing to resign at the time.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has started the criminal investigation, although many incidents fall outside the state’s limitation.
On Sunday, Foppoli accused the councilperson of Windsor County and Sonoma County Deputy District Attorney Esther Lemus of sexually assaulting him and others and demanded her resignation.
Foppoli accused Lemus of going to any lengths imaginable that would advance her political career and power on his statement. He has even released a video of Lemus speaking about him on Sunday.
The investigation is going on, and both of them are not arrested till now.
