Juliet Landau is an outstanding American actress, director, producer, and ballerina. She is best known for her role as Drusilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series, 1997-03) and its spinoff series Angel (TV series, 1999). Later, her performance earned her a Saturn Award nomination. She is also well-known for co-starring as Loretta King in Tim Burton’s Ed Wood (1994).

Career

Juliet Landau was born to famous actor parents Martin Landau and Barbara Bain. Both her parents were Jewish. Her father Martin died on July 15, 2017. She has an older sister named Susan Landau Finch is a film producer. These two sisters spent their early childhood in a Tudor-style house in West Los Angeles. Juliet is a former professional ballerina, and her mentor was the late actress Susan Peretz.

Her roles in independent films include Where The Road Runs Out (2014), Fairfield (2017), Monster Mutt (2010), Citizens, Dark Hearts (2012), The Yellow Wallpaper (2010), and Hack! (2007). She has made several television guest appearances, including on Criminal Minds (TV series, 2005), Millennium (TV series, 1996), and La Femme Nikita (TV series, 1997).

She starred a role in the movie Fatal Reunion in 2005 and gave voice to various characters on the animated series Justice League Unlimited (2004-06) and Ben 10, as well as the animated movie Green Lantern: First Flight (2009). In 2007, she has also voiced characters for three of the BioShock (2007) video games.

Her popular drama roles include Awake and Sing at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. In 2019, she joined the cast as Rita Tedesco in the fifth season of Bosch (TV series, 2014-21) on Amazon Prime Video. Recently, Juliet Landau played Cordelia in the comedy-drama series Claws (TV series, 2020). She played Natasha in a reading of Three Sisters produced by Al Pacino at The Actors Studio.
