Dark Desire aka Oscuro Deseo is the latest romantic complexity coming to Netflix. The streaming giant revealed that it was bringing the Mexican series to its platform in June 2020.
The series turns up the heat on a seemingly simple life and loving relationship of the lead character who goes away on a life-changing vacation. During this time, she finds passion and escape, as the story slowly escalates.
Release Date
Dark Desire will be coming to Netflix on July 15, 2020, in Latin America. Fans will have to a week after the Latin America release on 15th July for the show.
The US release for the show on Netflix will be on July 24, 2020. The episode length is expected to be 25 to 45 mins.
Plot And Synopsis
At first, a family of seemingly normal people turns to romance, drama, and passion. The central character is Alma who, a law professor. She is married to Leonardo, a judge who has a lot of secrets. The pair have a child named Zoe.
Alma goes to vacation and things turn passionate, she slowly finds out that her loved ones are not who they seem to be, especially her husband the judge.
This show follows Alma’s story and you can bet there will be steamy scenes that also serve to turn the page on the plot.
According to the show’s official page on Netflix’s website, the series synopsis is
“Married Alma spends a fateful weekend away from home that ignites passion, ends in tragedy, and leads her to question the truth about those close to her.”

Who Plays The Lead Cast? The lead character of Alma is depicted by ace actress Maite Perroni, she is famous for her acting talents on Mexican telenovelas as well as her alluring beauty. She shared a sneak peek of the show on her Insta page.
In addition to being an accomplished TV actress, she is also a singer and film actress. As a matter of fact, she has numerous singles and one studio album to her name.

On the show, lead Alma is married to Leonardo portrayed by Jorge Poza. He is also an accomplished actor in Mexican TV, who has won numerous awards for his work. He has worked in the TV biz for almost 3 deacades.
He is best known for his work on the Mexican TV series, La Gata. Similarly, he won the Best Co-star Actor award for El manantial in 2002, and again in 2009 for Alma de Hierro.
Like the actress depicting his wife on the show, he also posted a short trailer of their upcoming show to his Instagram account.
The role of the man who has an affair with the lead character is played by Alejandro Speitzer. The actor depicts Dario, the incredibly hot and passionate man.
He is pivotal to the show and how things unfold within it. Speitzer is a 25-year-old actor who has worked in show business since 2000 when he was 5 years old
Alejandro won the award for Best Young Lead Actor at the 2014 TVyNovelas Awards. He has also had main roles in shows like The Club, Enemigo íntimo, Bajo las riendas del amor etc amogn toerhs.
