The former Athletic Bilbao footballer, Aitor Gandiaga has passed away at the age of 23. The winger encountered an accident as he was driving through heavy rain and died on the spot, the Sun reports.
Aitor came through the ranks of Athletic Bilbao’s youth academy. Even though he didn’t make it to the first team of Los Lenos, Aitor Gandiaga played in the third tier of the Spanish league for Gernika Club. Moreover, he also played for the U19 side of Eibar.
