Zac’s Career In The NFL
Before becoming a TV star and a real estate agent, Zac used to play in the NFL. However, his career in football started in high school. He played at Tulare Union High School.
Then he got recognition as a footballer at college where he played well. He transferred to Kansas later on and finished his college career there.
Selected Into The Draft
Diles was drafted into the NFL in the 7th round in 2007. He was selected by Houston Texans. He played as a rookie for the first year and the next year, he started as a linebacker for 8 games.
He changed positions in 2009 and started playing as a weakside linebacker. He left the team in 2010.
His first stint with Houston was the only time he spent more than one season at a team.
Post-Houston Career
After leaving his debut team, he went to St. Louis Rams in 2011. The same year, he went to Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts.
Zac played for the Tennessee Titans in 2012. After this, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs. he returned to the Titans in 2013 before going to play for the Cleveland Browns. The same year, he returned to Houston Texans and to the browns, all in one season.
Diles Spoke About His Experience With Racism
The former footballer shared his experiences with racism. He said that after a big win against the University of Texas in 2006, he was denied entry into a party because he was black.
He said “That kind of racism and backlash was alarming,” Zac admitted. “I mean, what the f–k? What am I to you?”
This came after the murder of George Floyd by cops in the USA and the protest by some college students telling their schools that they would not play football until action against racism was taken by their colleges.
He played for Kansas State in the past and when one of Kansas State’s current students Tweeted out a boycott program, saying that he would not play until racism on campus was eliminated.
Love & Listings
In 2019, Zac came out with his own show Love & Listings, which airs on VH1. The show has real estate dealing with big-name celebrities like Suge Knight and Sean Kingston.
