Actress Naya Rivera has been presumed dead after she went missing on a boat trip. The star’s 4 -year-old son was found alone in the boat they had taken on the swimming trip on Lake Piru.
The star’s car was also found parked outside the lake premises but she is missing and local authorities have already presumed her dead after a long search.
Naya Rivera’s Body Still Missing
The star who is best known for her work on Glee went for a swimming trip to a reservoir in Ventura County, California. According to the Sherrif’s department there, her body has not yet been found as of July 9, 2020.
According to reports, she arrived at the lake with her son in a car and rented a pontoon boat. They then went out on the lake and started swimming but only her son climbed back on board the boat.
The Sherrif’s Department Conducted A Thorough Search
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department started searching for a drowning victim at around 1 pm.
A widespread search was done and helicopters, as well as drones, were dispatched.
Just a day before they went to Lake Piru, the actress shared a photo with her son captioned, ‘Just the two of us,’
Her son told the Sherrif’s department that Naya did not return to the boat.
Naya’s Son Is Just 4 Years Old
The actress’ son Josey Hollis was born in September 2015, to Naya and her then-husband Ryan Dorsey. He was the one who told officers about his mother’s disappearance.
She had married him on July 19, 2014, after splitting from Big Sean in April 2014. She had already dated Dorsey before, in fact, in a memoir, she revealed that she got an abortion just after splitting with Dorsey.
The pair split shortly after their marriage, as a matter of fact, their divorce was finalized on June 14, 2018, after a long scuffle including a domestic violence charge.
