David has two sisters. Besides, his uncle raised him for a while in Florida. Notably, he stole his aunt’s car ending up in foster care. Also, he committed several burglaries in the 90s, getting prisoned for quite a time.

Not to mention, Sweat became homeless soon in his teenage. He used to have jobs for short times and engaged with marijuana abuse quite often.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole in 2002. In fact, David was jailed for shooting a cop as he was avoiding getting caught.

Soon, Sweat was arrested and pled guilty to first-degree murder.

Again, David received a three and half year sentence in 2015 for first-degree escape. He was shot and arrested near the Canadian border.
