Roddie is the third suspect to be charged in killing Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man. 

His full name is William Roddy Bryan, a 50-year-old mechanic from Brunswick, Georgia. 

Roddie is the man who filmed the fatal shooting and is arrested and charged with the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

The shooting happened on February 23, 2020, near Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia.

Roddie Bryan, along with former police office Gregory McMichael, 65, and his son Travis McMichael 35, where the three men arrested and each charged with one count of interference with rights and attempted kidnapping. 

Roddie witnessed the fatal death of Arbery, and he stopped in the road. He was driving behind them in a separate truck and filmed the shooting.

Bryan Video Went Viral on Facebook? 

Bryan videotaped father and son Gregory and Travis when they chased down Arbery. 

He sent the video to Alan Tucker, a Brunswick attorney, and he went to post the video online saying, “People had the right to know.” 

A local authority gave the shooting video to local radio station WGIG, which was posted on their website on May 5. After that, the video started getting viral and has been posted on Youtube and Twitter. 

There is no news about video circling on Facebook, but many videos related to Bryan and his interview on the crime scene are available on Facebook. 

Bryan has confessed that he has nothing to do with the shooting and only recorded the crime scene.
