Netflix’s Nailed It Mexico is going to give you a boost when you are home-cooking as the show will return for a second season and pit new amateur cooks against each other. The bake-off is a spin-off that has gathered millions of viewers of its own. 

The show’s format of inviting a new judge each episode has worked in the favor of the show. Most audiences think of dark crime thrillers or gory animated series but it is true that the platform has something for everyone. 

That means the streaming platform will give food enthusiasts and aspiring home bakers something to do while staying at home orders and nationwide lockdowns return for the second wave of the virus. 

Nailed It Mexico: Release Date

The second season of the cooking show was released on August 7, 2020. It will be available globally via Netflix

Similarly, the first episode of the whole series was released on February 8, 2019.  

Nailed It Mexico Host

Nailed It Mexico features two hosts a comedian and actor who is one of Mexico’s biggest stars and a chef that has worked in the restaurant industry for years. The hosts are

  1. Omar Chaparro (Actor)
  2. Anna Ruiz (chef and head judge)

Omar Chaparro 

Omar Chaparro is the host that will be returning to the show and taking all of the amateur cooks on the journey. He is a famous Mexican actor who is known for his charisma and comedic chops on-screen. 

With him as host, there is not a dull moment. Apart from this, he is also a singer and voice actor whose voice acting on the Spanish dub of many animated movies like Kung Fu Panda has been especially enjoyed by fans. 

He has had multiple main roles in various TV series and shows. 

Anna Ruiz

With more than 20 years in the culinary art industry as “Cake Designer”, Chef Anna Ruiz uses fondant as the best tool to express her art.

Her veteran status as a baker and chef has made her a fixture on the show. 

With years of teaching, Chef Anna seeks to convey the passion she feels when she sees one of her finished works. The same will for teaching and departing her knowledge to new aspiring cooks is also one of the highlights of the show. 

Counting with more than 8,000 students from culinary schools and classes in other forums, she has also been a judge and organizer in various industry competitions.

She has been in international shows demonstrating and teaching her art Hong Kong, United Kingdom, United States, Brazil, Spain just to name a few. 

In Mexico, she has been in television programs in the largest Expositions and has done interviews for large media companies, has participated as a judge in national and international events which includes the Mexican spinoff of Nailed It. 

She is also the head judge on the show and has a lot of experience under her belt. 

New Guest Judges And Contestants

A new judge is featured on each episode of the show, this was also the format of the first season that featured various celebrities on each episode.

The first season featured amateur cooks from all around Mexico as contestants, the second season will feature a new batch of contestants fighting for the 200,000 peso prize. 

Ratings And Reviews

¡Nailed it! México has gotten good reviews from almost all sources. IMDb has given the series a decent 6.2/10. However, the ratings for the second season are yet to roll in. 

Many early viewers have expressed their love for the second season on the show on social media.
